MIDTERM PROJECT
Interview Role-Play
You will work with a group in this project to present a role-play in front of the class. The situation of the role-play must follow some kind of interview format.
FINAL PROJECT
The Best Job in the World
You will complete the first part of this project with a group. Your group will create what you think is the best job in the world and create a print advertisement and presentation for the job.
In the second part of the project, you will work alone and choose one job to apply to by writing a cover letter and making a short video application. Click here to learn more.
MEDIA LEARNING
Group Project
For this project, you will work with a group and use movies, music and your phone to learn and practice English. For each part of the project, you will need to do some work outside of class and you will also have some English discussion time in class.
PUBLIC SPEAKING 1
Self Introduction
As part of your classwork and participation points for this semester you will introduce yourself to the class with a one-minute speech at the front of the class.
​PUBLIC SPEAKING 2
Media Talk
In the second one minute speech, you will use the computer to share something you are interested in or care about, such as your favorite song, a personal performance, photo or other video. You will introduce and explain the media that you share.
