Public Speaking
Project Overview
You will be asked to speak in front of the class two times in this course. The goal of the public speaking in our class is to improve your confidence and make you more comfortable speaking in front of a group. It will also help you prepare for the mid-term and final presentations.
You should speak for at least 1 minute each time. You will earn 4 points for each time you speak. Public speaking will not be graded, but you will complete a self-evaluation after you finish and discuss it with me.
Public Speaking 1: Self-Introduction
Your goal is to speak for 1 minute and tell the class about yourself. You can discuss your major, family, hobbies, interests or whatever you think is important about you.
Public Speaking 2: Media Talk
Your goal is to speak for 1 minute and use the computer to share something you feel is interesting important with the class. This does not need to be related to you but you should try to relate it to your major if possible. You must use the computer, but you can use it in any way you want (photo, video, song, audio clip, etc.). *Please note! Any material shown using the computer MUST BE IN ENGLISH!!!*
