All you Need is Love - The Beatles

"There's nothing you can know that isn't known,
Nothing you can see that isn't shown,
There's nowhere you can be that isn't where you're meant to be."

  • Collaboration and Compromise

In 2012, I married an amazing, strong woman and the love of my life. Through blending our different cultural backgrounds, traveling the world together, starting a family and struggling through business ventures together, I have learned the importance of collaboration and value of compromise. I've also learned to appreciate the moment and be thankful for what we have.

Teach your Children - Crosby, Stills, Nash and Young

"You who are on the road, must have a code,
That you can live by,
And so, become yourself,

Because the past is just a goodbye,

Teach your children well."

  • Empathy and Support

In 2014, my energetic and creative daughter was born. We can apply the lessons we have learned from our parents and those we have learned from our children. Above all I have learned to be understanding of others and learn about their situations without passing judgment. As educators and leaders, our role is to support our teams and the community by building healthy relationships and encouraging respect and understanding for all people. It is our charge to provide equal opportunities and access to education for all members of the community.

Forest Whitaker - Brother Ali

"You might think I'm depressed as can be,
But when I look in the mirror I see sexy-ass me."

  • Remember Who Your Are

This is a phrase that my father would constantly say to me, often when I was leaving the house on a Friday night. It was a way to remind me of what was expected of me and my behavior. It was also meant to be a confidence booster. As an educator, my goal is to build a community of learners who are confident, caring and respectful. When we consider and reflect upon who we are, it can also be an opportunity to learn from mistakes and continue moving forward.
