Film-Based Learning Projects: Learners as Creators

Utilizing film within ESL classrooms goes beyond using movie clips or TV episodes to generate discussion. By giving students the opportunity to create their own short films and video projects, educators can place the learning in the hands of the learners. This can create meaningful and memorable learning opportunities.

This project asks students to work together in small groups to design an invention that could somehow change or improve the world. The multifaceted project includes the production of a video advertisement. Click the videos for student made examples.
